On behalf of the entire BCTEA Executive, Welcome to the 2025 / 26 school year! Happy New (school) Year! I hope that you’ve had a restful summer and are recharged for the year that lies ahead.
Coming up sooner than you think, is our October Pro-D day (Fri, Oct 24th), and this is an exciting one! Earlybird registration ends Friday Sept 5th! This year’s conference will take place at the UA Piping Industry College of BC and is in conjunction with the Canadian Welding Bureau’s annual Education conference. Be sure to register for BOTH! There’s still time to apply for a travel / TOC grant from the CWB. Links to both are at www.bctea.org Don’t miss out on this fantastic, once in a century opportunity to have both of these fantastic events together under the same roof! While it may seem that there will be more welding and metalwork events, we are making sure to have the usual good variety of workshops available for the BCTEA conference on Friday.
You are all fantastic and surely have a project or two that you are proud of and would love to share with your colleagues. Please consider bringing your favorite project (or two, three) to display on our brag table and share your idea (old or new!) with your colleagues. Let’s fill as many tables as we can with ideas to share, even if it’s just a picture or plans!
