Noratek Solutions is a Loss prevention and Risk Management company that is contracted by the Ministry of Education to provide districts with safety audits and recommendations in Tech Ed shops and Science labs. They have been doing this for many years, but many of us were likely unaware. Due to recent events, they have been contracted by numerous districts to provide their services. Noratek does not work with WorkSafe BC, but they can advise what WorkSafe will be looking for. These documents were developed by the Manager of Occupational Health and Safety and tech ed teachers from SD62. in conjunction with Noratek. They have been shared with the BCTEA, and we are providing them to members as a resource in the event that your district asks you to participate in development of such documents. These can be used as editable templates for you to modify as you choose.
