Conference Schedule & Workshop Descriptions

Workshops will be updated as they become available.
“We are all ADST”  is a BCTEA Conference with workshops for both Elementary and Secondary teachers of BC.  This year it will be hosted at Georges P. Vanier Secondary School in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.  The Comox Valley School District is a progressive district with many unique ADST programs in both the Elementary and Secondary schools.  Georges P. Vanier went through extensive upgrades only a couple of years ago and boasts 5 full blown shops (Metal Shop, Woodwork Shop, Automotive Shop, Electronics/Drafting Lab and a Construction Building).

Conference Cost
Before October 1: $125 plus $25 for a dinner ticket
After October 1: $150 plus $25 for a dinner
Walk up on the morning of October 23: $200 with no dinner option 
**All fees include the BCTEA PSA membership fee of $30.

Conference Schedule
The traditional conference schedule is being altered to accommodate people travelling the morning of the conference from the lower mainland by BC Ferries and from the south island.  The conference will start at 10:00am with opening remarks and then sessions will begin at 10:30am.

This share session will allow “Share participants” 5-10 minutes to share with the entire group. The success of this workshop relies on people sharing. A token of appreciation will be give to those that share.
